What is the sin of Partiality?
The plan for this Sunday is to dive into James 1:12-18. To prepare: Read through the passage. It’s helpful to read the whole section to get the context of our small passage. Ask yourself: What are some trials I have gone through, or am currently going through? Ask yourself: In what way(s) have I been actually tempted to sin as a result of those trials?
This coming Sunday we are planning to pause in our James series, and take a look at 2 Peter 1:5-8. We are coming up on Valentine’s Day, and it’s a good time to revisit marriage, commitment, love, etc from God’s perspective. So take a look at 2 Peter 1:5-8, and look for where “love” is on the list? We talk about needing to “love each…

For this Sunday here are a few items to think through: This Sunday will be the 6 year anniversary of Heritage Fellowship! January 8, 2011 is when the church started. Make a list of ways you have been blessed by being a part of Heritage Fellowship, and you’ll have an opportunity to share that during the 1st part of the service on Sunday! The sermon is on James 1:1,…

This Sunday we will be studying Habakkuk 3:17-19 As you study these verses, reflect upon Habakkuk’s response to the upcoming disaster that he and his countrymen would face. Is your response to rejoice in the LORD and trust him as Habakkuk did, or are you prone to trust in your own abilities ? I look forward to our time together on Sunday. Dave
This coming Sunday I am planning to preach on Habakkuk 3:1-16. The essence of the sermon is this: “In his trembling, Habakkuk magnifies the Lord.” Think about a magnifying glass…. When you look at an object though a magnifying glass, what happens to the image in the glass? Well think about “magnifying” the Lord… What effect would that…
As a part of a regular schedule of service, this Sunday the men of the church took time to share what they’ve learned from scripture recently.
