NEXT Sunday is Resurrection Sunday. We have planned a different time and place of our meeting on that day. Please see below for details:
First, as we have often stated at Heritage Fellowship, we try to treat every Sunday as “Resurrection Sunday”, meaning that we celebrate the Risen Lord each time we gather, according to Scripture!
Second, we also have recognized the cultural tradition of gathering with friends and family on that day, and therefore have always cancelled our afternoon “shared meal” to allow our families to participate with afternoon family gatherings.
Third, with our change of meeting times to the afternoons, we’ve had to make some adjustments.
As we have been prayerfully considering what to do, Stuart Mizelle, pastor of Westminster Presbyterian Church, invited us to attend the Sumter Ministerial Alliance Sunrise Service with Westminster. (Stuart was recently elected President of the Alliance, and still has a heart to partner with HF). We discussed this on Sunday, and have brought this up at various gatherings. So here’s the plan…
Service: 7:00a.m. – We’ll all plan to meet as a body at Swan Lake and worship together. Then…
8:15ish… Shared Meal immediately following at the Nichols’ house. (We may also have a time for sharing)
So plan to bring your shared meal and we’ll eat breakfast together!
Any questions? Contact Dave Jordan (email@example.com) or me, or we can catch up on Sunday. Weather permitting, this has the potential to be a really neat day of worship and fellowship!
