As you’ll remember, in general our plan for preaching each month is this:
I’ll preach twice, Dave Jordan would like to preach once, and the men will share one Sunday (not necessarily in this order each time. But with Dave and I, the question came up about what to do about 5th Sundays (4 of those in a year). Good question! Obviously one of us could preach again, and that may indeed happen, or we could do something else creative, depending on how the Lord is leading. Late last year I connected with Eric Burd to see if he would be interested in preaching for us again. It’s good to keep that HOFCC connection as well! He has a message on his heart on “Transformational Living”, based on Romans 12:1-2, and it lines up well with what we’ve been emphasizing as a church.
So for this Sunday, take a look at Romans 12:1-2, and surrounding context, asking yourself a few questions such as:
What exactly would being transformed look like for me?
What are some things that God transforms?
What areas in my life need to be transformed the most?
How does transformation happen?
What’s the purpose of transformation?
Ok, that should get you started!
